Chat@Heyuri is a [[Web chat]] on [[Heyuri★CGI]] managed by [[anonwaha]]. It uses a translated version of the Japanese COMCHAT software, developed by KENTWEB. It is primarily used to discuss general topics, such as [[Heyuri]] itself, or the daily happenings of whoever's there and brave enough to say ^^;
Chat@Heyuri is a general [[web chat]] room on [[Heyuri★CGI]]. Users are free to discuss virtually anything they'd like, with common topics including their daily activities, worldly matters, memories of the past, and their favorite [[emotes]]/[[kaomoji]].


Chat@Heyuri is one of the more active parts of Heyuri, and frequents a sizable amount of users daily, hovering about 6-10 users during peak hours, with anywhere between 5-60 messages daily. Although, a good amount of the users you'll see in the channel (liek me :D) just lurk and read the chat.  
As of writing 2025/08/26, Chat@Heyuri is one of the more active parts of [[Heyuri]], with around 6-10 participants during peak hours, receiving around 150-500 messages per day on average. The current record for most messages per day is 2528, achieved on 2024/01/06.


The majority of Heyuri staff are in this chat, so it's used alot to quickly report whenever [[CP]] spam or other bad things happen on the [[imageboard]] side of Heyuri.

== Software ==
The software used for the chat room is Heyuri's own translated and modified version of [https://www.kent-web.com/ KENT-WEB]'s [https://www.kent-web.com/chat/comchat.html COMCHAT] software. The original COMCHAT script is only available in Japanese, and the source code for the modified English version used on Chat@Heyuri has not been made publicly available as of August 2025. The source code has been shared privately with other Heyuri developers, some of whom have set up their own instances; one such example is [[Gurochan|GUROchan Chat]] which was set up by [[kaguya]] and [[kuz]] on August 19th, 2025.
