Chat@Heyuri is a [[Web chat]] on [[Heyuri★CGI]] managed by [[anonwaha]]. It uses a translated version of the Japanese COMCHAT software, developed by KENTWEB. It is primarily used to discuss general topics, such as [[Heyuri]] itself, or the daily happenings of whoever's there and brave enough to say ^^;
Chat@Heyuri is a general [[web chat]] room on [[Heyuri★CGI]]. Users are free to discuss virtually anything they'd like, with common topics including their daily activities, worldly matters, memories of the past, and their favorite [[emotes]]/[[kaomoji]].


Chat@Heyuri is one of the more active parts of Heyuri, and frequents a sizable amount of users daily, hovering about 6-10 users during peak hours, with anywhere between 5-60 messages daily. Although, a good amount of the users you'll see in the channel (liek me :D) just lurk and read the chat.  
The majority of [[Heyuri staff-san]] frequent the chat room, so it's often used by non-staff members as a way to report [[CP]] spam or other bad things happening on Heyuri's various [[Bulletin board|bulletin boards]] and [[Imageboard|imageboards]].

As of May 13th, 2026, Chat@Heyuri is one of the most active parts of [[Heyuri]] by far, with around 10-17 participants during peak hours, receiving around 1200 messages per day on average. The current record for most messages per day is 4752, achieved on May 4th, 2026. The cause was [[pen man]]/riro/raev/etc. launching his "Heyuri TTS Radio", which generates AI voices in almost-real time for each participant of Chat@Heyuri based on user-submitted audio samples. Characters include: Konata, Lara Croft, LOUD [[Nigra|NIGRA]], <del>hiro</del>, Sonic, and many more.
Since the start of 2026, Chat@Heyuri's messages-per-day skyrocketed into the thousands. This was almost entirely thanks to the arrival of a single ultra-chatty user: [[hiro]]!! To put the speed difference into perspective, Chat@Heyuri surpassed 1000 messages per day (MPD) 29 times in 2024 (including December 2023), 6 times in 2025, and 79 times between 2026/01/01–2026/05/13 alone. 22 of those 79 times were over 2000 MPD, 4 were over 3000 MPD, and 1 was over 4000 MPD(!!!).
== Software ==
The chat room software is Heyuri's own translated and modified version of [https://www.kent-web.com/ KENT-WEB]'s [https://www.kent-web.com/chat/comchat.html COMCHAT] script. The original COMCHAT script is only available in Japanese, and the source code for the modified English version used on Chat@Heyuri has not been made publicly available as of August 2025. The source code has been shared privately with other Heyuri developers, some of whom have set up their own instances; one such example is [[Gurochan|GUROchan Chat]] which was set up by [[kaguya]] and [[kuz]] on August 19th, 2025.
