It was horrible to watch!

The Everything Explodes Dramatically All At Once outage was a partially-scheduled outage affecting Heyuri's main server, alongside Gurochan and Kereste, lasting between 2026/03/01, and 2026/03/04. During this time, Heyurizens took refuge on Chat@Heyuri (initially via alternative URLs) and eventually Strange World@Heyuri.

Pre-downtime

Since mid-to-late 2025, Heyuri's main server had been suffering from increasing numbers of SSL handshake errors and other mysterious timeouts. In an attempt to fix the problems, it was decided that Heyuri should migrate to a fresh server, which would hopefully resolve the issues and give everyone free blow jobs. SPOILER: It did not.

It was announced via global message that Heyuri's main server would be down for maintenance starting 10:00 UTC on 2026/03/02. (I didn't get a screenshot! FUCK!) In that message, it was noted that the community-run parts of Heyuri such as the Heyuri.LOL bunker and Heyuri★CGI would carry on without problem, and that the outage could last anywhere from an hour up to a full day.

Surprise domain fail

O SHIT! At around 20:40 (UTC) on 2026/03/01 - a day prior to the scheduled maintenance date - the heyuri.net domain went completely dark. According to... insider information, kaguya had become aware that the heyuri.net had been erroneously suspended around 2 hours before the domain eventually became inaccessible to most users. Between kaguya finding out and the domain going dark, this info was relayed to anonwaha, and a message on Chat@Heyuri went up asking users to bookmark the alternative URLs cgi.yuisuki.net & cgi.heyuri.lol since the servers themselves would still be online.

At approximately 2026/03/02 16:20 (20 hours later), Heyuri's domain was finally restored, and things could finally go back to nor-

Maintenance

There was music here, and it was Spanish Flea, that Technical Difficulties music.

Once the heyuri.net domain was restored, the main site resolved to a little temporary page telling everyone that the maintenance that was now in effect and directed users to Strange World to wait out the outage.

During this time, Strange World saw a massive uptick in activity; probably the most it has ever seen (although some of it was drama-related...). Chat@Heyuri's activity on the other hand was no different to usual, demonstrating that everyone made it over to the backup URLs.

It's not that important but I did find the guy that assumed Kuz was living in an Argentinian hut amusing. Mainlanders did also say they were gonna rape all the Strange World girls and stuff, so I suppose it got a little scary for the natives, but they left after 3 days, so I don't think anyone got impregnated. Probably.

At some point during the final hours of maintenance, Strange World's flat file storing all the messages became corrupted, causing posts between 2026/03/01(Sun) 21:02:07 and 2026/03/04(Wed) 17:33:23 to be lost (though they may have been restored by the time you read this).

Rebooting, and Deportations

At around 17:45 on 2026/03/04, Heyuri's imageboard came back online, and many many cheers were had. It was all back!

Just kidding. Teh wiki was still asleep, and Strange World's post form disappeared for me for about 7 minutes. 3 minutes after that, the wiki also revived. Hooray! Heyuri returned after a long long... 2-3 days. No reported casualties, aside from Strange World logs. Probably. Nobody would kill themselves over Heyuri now, would they?

Strange World migrants left as quick as they came, but Strange World never forgot those fun filled days of hospitality, feeding mainlanders the few LOLs that they could spare. It's assumed Fat-san ate the leftovers.

Some other parts of Heyuri are still down as of writing, but here's the subdomains based on the main Heyuri page and a rough time at which they went back up. It's effectively a rough downtime graph.

  1. cgi.heyuri.net - ~16:20, 02/03/2026 (Heyuri★CGI) (never really broke, but i count the domain gone as downtime)
  2. dis.heyuri.net - ~16:20, 02/03/2026 (Strange World)
  3. img.heyuri.net - ~17:45, 04/03/2026 (Imageboards)
  4. wiki.heyuri.net - ~17:55, 04/03/2026 (Heyuri Historical Society)
  5. mattari.heyuri.net - 06/03/2026 (Mattari AA Tester)
  6. sys.heyuri.net - 06/03/2026 (Letterbox)
  7. radio.heyuri.net - 06/03/2026 (Webradio)
