Talk:Lolico

From Heyuri Historical Society

This article currently says "At age 16 he created Heyuri, on February 16th, 2018", but both the earliest archived /g/ posts mentioning Heyuri and the earliest Wayback Machine archives imply that Heyuri was in fact created in February 2019. I believe lolico turned 17 during 2020, so he either created Heyuri at age 16 in 2019 (most likely), or at age 15 in 2018

The only "source" I know of for the alleged 2018 start date is kuz saying "starting from the booru software in 2018" in the April 2021 townhall, but I think that's just sum "comftorable incorrectness"...

Actually, I just noticed that section is currently missing from the Townhall archive currently listed on the Townhall aticle since kaguya's connection briefly cut out - I have the complete thing containing the missing part (and more from before/after the "official" townhall start/end time), so we can replace it with that --Anonwaha (talk) 03:33, 17 May 2023 (EDT)

As of yesterday, I am not able to contact Lolico anymore so we can't be sure about it. He likely had the heyuri idea or was working on the file uploader software for some time before he announced, but I couldn't find whois details for heyuri.cf so I can't verify anything. But even in that case, it doesn't make any sense he didn't share about it anywhere for an entire year, and given the original version was written by kuz, I think he just confused the years. I am changing it --Kaguya (talk) 20:07, 17 May 2023 (EDT)
