Tripcode
From Heyuri Historical Society
A tripcode is a hashed password created through tons of 1337 hacking in order to create a pile of crap, or a tripcode. They are used in the name field.
A tripcode looks a little something like this:
name#password = name!12345abcd
They're often used by namefags in order to show identity, and have mixed reception on Heyuri, where some people like the idea and others don't. Overall, it is tolerated unless it is excessively used for every post.
Secure Tripcodes
Secure tripcodes are tripcodes created with two passwords.
It looks like this.
name#pass1#pass2 = name!555556shit
Secure tripcodes differ from site to site, and as such, one tripcode you enter on one imageboard will not be the same you get on another, hence the security.
