@Party II
Party II (JP: パーティーII)is an open-source, MMO, (primarily) text-based dungeon crawler CGI Game developed by D-BR, then picked up by CGI-Sweets in around 2009 for the CGI infrastructure of TEH OLDE.
Gameplay
As with many of the CGI games, this includes a manual to assist with starting and playing the game. It can be accessed here (ENG). It explains the mechanics much better than the wikipage here would, but for a very rough (and uninformed...) overview:
- Do yer quests
- Heal up after and get Tombola tickets (sleeping is free! no tombolas for that tho...)
- Grab some equipment at the store, and see if you hit it big at the Tombola House!!!
- Clear moar quests
- Level up to max and change ur job
- Repeat until you solo the entire game and make the japanese players think you're cool!!!
Heyurian Legacy
Heyuri's instance of Party II has seen some minor popularity, being believed to be the only english language translation of the game.
One of seemingly the most unique players is 龍-san, first documented to be seen in 2023/11/05, at 21:20 on the game discussion BBS. It is said that they have been playing the game since 2012, and have achieved over 2000+ job changes since then. An impressive feat!!
Due to the heavy reliance on teams and co-operative gameplay, many heyurians fail to go past the first job change, often abandoning the game and having their accounts auto-deleted by the server before ever returning. As of 15 January 2025, the instance has 13/3000 users.
