It is based on Yakuba Souko PHP ver. (last release 2009), which itself is based on Zurubon Uploader (last release 2001, started in 1997 as Yuichat modification). It was brought to the Western web by a Heyuri user in 2020 with partial English translation, and went through a major backend overhaul in 2024 by developers on Heyuri.
