The message log file (which was the one that got purged) only stores the last 5000 posts

I remember it had pages on faganon and a list of the monthly anime up to that point. HHS disappeared after a few months IIRC, I don't remember why (domain loss?). There wasn't much on there, but I know some of it was not imported when the current iteration was launched, such as the faganon article.

== Infrastructure ==
x7net used firebase for storing posts, imgbb for storing images, and the rest was just client-side JS within an HTML file hosted on github.io... which included the plaintext admin/mod passwords and firebase/imgbb API keys XD. This meant that anyone visiting the site had the ability to gain full access to the site's admin functions: post deletion, bans, stickies, etc.

== Before Heyuri ==

According to [https://github.com/x7net x7net's github account], x7net's repository was created on October 10, 2025. By the time it was advertised on Heyuri, x7net had already been "hacked", with their moderator saying the following in post No.1125 on October 12: <blockquote>Hey everyone, well the Website got all threads deleted by some Anon, and all was changed by porn, and i want to say sorry for lose the threads, i am gonna update a thing</blockquote>

The site consisted of two boards: /g/ - general (with the tagline: "Anything can happen here."), and /ih/ (not archived, but I think it was "internet histories"). Other than that, it had a home page and a rules/FAQ page.

There were only around 35 posts that existed on /g/ at this time, all of which were made between 23:09 on October 12 and 09:33 on October 14. Most of them contained 4 words or less, with many of them just being variations of "hi".

== Heyuri "raid" ==

At 11:28am (UTC), the x7net advertisement thread was posted to Heyuri. [[Anonwaha]] initially baleeted the thread at 11:46, with the reason being that it was a "generic imageboard ad". Shortly afterwards at 11:51, [[kaguya]] restored the thread and (anonymously) made the first reply with an attached screencap of x7net's admin password being in their HTML source. Kaguya then autosage'd the thread.

After seeing this, anonwaha managed to log in as admin on x7net (the SUPER SEKRIT staff login form was simply hidden by CSS with "display:none"). With these newfound powars, he unsticky'd the existing stickies, B& the original mods, and stickied his own admin post saying: <blockquote>DISREGARD THIS SITE, I SUCK COCKS I AM MOVING TO HEYURI.NET ヽ(´∇`)ノ</blockquote>

At 12:11pm, anonwaha removed the autosage and (anonymously) posted a screencap of x7net's new sticky, saying: <blockquote>Let's say hi to our new users coming from x7net :biggrin:</blockquote>([https://archive.ph/IEOBa archive of the site at this time])

x7net's moderation team (which, according to their FAQ, consisted of the admin and his friend) deleted the sticky, and there was a small game of cat-and-mouse as anonwaha continued remaking the sticky several times. They tried to ban him (reason given: "being a retard"), but since bans were based on an ID stored in the user's browser, all it took to evade the "bans" was clearing the local storage for the site which would grant the user a new ID, LOL.

By 12:24 - an hour after the site was posted to Heyuri - x7net's admin had pulled the plug, and the site was 404. Kaguya (anonymously) put it best in the advertisement thread: <blockquote>it is amazing - that he had the knowledge to create a client-end BBS, even with ChatGPT, without realizing something was off with the whole idea :sweat2:</blockquote>

At 20:43, kaguya (anonymously) put x7net's HTML/CSS/JS on jsfiddle ([https://jsfiddle.net/4tyku3og/ https://jsfiddle.net/4tyku3og/]). This effectively restored the site since the firebase and imgbb account were still active, meaning that anyone can still post on it. Since then, other Heyurians have made several posts on x7net's reanimated corpse celebrating their new territory.

Strange World@Heyuri.net was created on March 29th, 2021, and uses a Japanese bulletin board script called [https://hiru.coresv.com/ksphp-plus/ KuzuhaScriptPHP+]. The board is currently located at [https://dis.heyuri.net/sw/]. It was originally hosted on https://ayashii.net/, and for a brief period it was simultaneously available at https://img.heyuri.net/sw/. On September 8th, 2024, the ayashii.net domain was replaced with a page explaining in [[Japanese]] that the domain was changing to dis.heyuri.net/sw/. The reason for the change was that [Kaguya|kaguya] didn't want to keep paying 12 bux a year for the domain.

==Format==
Strange World, at its core, is a simple Japanese-style bulletin board. In the main display view, there is a post form at the top of the page, and the 40 most recent posts are shown below in chronological order; from most recent to least recent. There is no [[Thread float type bulletin board|thread floating]] (bumping) or reply threading in the main view, but both can be seen by switching to ''Tree view'' and ''Thread view'' respectively.

Strange World also features [[Kaomoji|'''kaomoji''']] (顔文字) buttons that allow users to easily insert kaomoji into their posts, although some are more frequently used than others. This feature is unique to Strange World@Heyuri.net, and is not found on any Japanese Ayashii World bulletin boards.

It is generally advised by Heyuri staff and users alike that long posts should be preformatted by inserting line breaks appropriately (usually to keep within [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_per_line 70-80 characters per line]), as had been the tradition on Ayashii World, [[Netnews]] (Usenet), and other earlier forms of computer communications.

Strange World, at its core, is a simple Japanese-style bulletin board. In the main display view, there is a post form at the top of the page, and the 40 most recent posts are shown below in chronological order; from most recent to least recent. There is no [[Thread float type bulletin board|thread floating]] (bumping) or reply threading in the main view, but both can be seen by switching to ''Tree view'' and ''Thread view'' respectively.

Hikari3 is an [[imageboard]] that was first made public in May 21st, 2023. It is currently operated by the founder, syrno, and was advertised on various other imageboards, including [[Heyuri]].
The site runs a custom imageboard software known as koshi developed by syrno, and is to be [https://hikari3.ch/h3/thread/849 open-sourced at some point.]

== Regarding the transfer fee ==

Small clarification: The transfer fee (12.50$ in this case) isn't paid to the original registrar (Epik), but to the new registrar (porkbun). Epik only gives a transfer code (for free) that lets us move domain somewhere else (as the standard procedure is). I announced it as 13$ because I dunno how much payment processors charge. Once it's paid by yakuruto, the transfer fee acts like an early renewal - like early paying for one more year after February 2026, so currently the domain is paid for until February 2027 as you can see in whois. I'm not sure but Epik probably wouldn't release the domain in February 2026, I read that registrars just permanently sit on domains that were b& for ToS ^^;

As he created Heyuri, he is technically the oldest [[oldfag]] of all time and a revered spirit whom practitioners of [[Heyurism]] deeply respect.

Lolico was a [[Namefag|central figure]] in Heyuri and one of the first developers of [[Kokonotsuba]], the [[imageboard]] software used on Heyuri and a few other sites. He stayed active in the community until stepping down as an administrator in December 2020. He worked on Kokonotsuba, which was released in March 2021, and continued developing it for a while afterward.

Eventually, he lost interest in Heyuri and the surrounding scene of imageboards, and cut ties with it entirely.

'''StrawberryHeaven''', commonly abbreviated as '''SH''', was an [[bulletin board]] website created as a [[Bunker Board|bunker]], and later replacement to [[Heyuri]], lasting from September 29th, 2020 (according to archive.org) to January 6th, 2021. It was once considered by some to be the lowest Heyuri ever sank and the very depth of the [[Dark Ages]], though some believe the darkest period in Heyuri's history came afterwards. Some have speculated that upwards of half or more of Heyuri's users were lost during the move to StrawberryHeaven, which was marked by heavy [[De-kolymization|Kolymization]], [[Drama]], [[spam]], [[Akima|hacks]], and more.

Although the site was widely condemned as shit and sub par to Heyuri, [[lolico]]'s refusal to cooperate with [[Kuz]] left most users with no choice but to use it. Regardless, several notable posts in "Heyuri History" were made on SH, including the famous "Draw Yuno Thread".

== The Story ==
Following the fallout and the death of Heyuri in early September 2020, as well as several attempts by Kuz to revive Heyuri, Kuz launched StrawberryHeaven. It opened with multiple boards, including several that differed from Heyuri; namely /d/, /gif/, /r/, and /mil/. The textboards that differed from Heyuri consisted of /hy/, and /chat/ (basically /lounge/). The board software (Kareha) was quite different to Heyuri: post numbers were per-thread, so every thread began with post [[1-san|No.1]]. The board software lacked many of the features and styles that Heyuri contained, and was considered barren by many of the users.

The site contained a counter on the front page that displayed how many times the site was viewed. It also contained multiple links to other non-StrawberryHeaven [[KolymaBBS]] boards ran by [[KolymaNET]]. The site had relatively low activity and poor growth, as the shrinking userbase of Heyuri was fractured across multiple locations.

The board began with 17 (19 if you count the KolymaBBS boards), 12 imageboards, and 5 textboards. As usual, the most active board was /b/, followed by /r/ (allegedly).

As time went on and a few new users showed up, multiple complaints arose. Some complaints were about the appearance of the textboards, some about the management of the boards, and some about how the site had little to none of Heyuri's former appeal; and as such, the site was quite dead.

On October 7th—after posts from users discussing the issues and providing suggestions came in—Kuz made a newspost explaining how he would attempt to solve them. As per user requests, Kuz removed most of the boards, leaving only /r/, /b/, /q/, and /a/. He also stated that he would move the site to a different software. Another important part of this post was regarding his withdrawal from the site. Kuz mentioned how he was tired from trying to revive Heyuri, and gave himself two options to remedy this: take a break, or exhaust himself to the point where the site isn't fun anymore. He also took on three anonymous moderators, and left them to help with the site. The final big thing the newspost mentions is the ever-growing need of PHP devs.

On October 16th, another newspost was made. This one was made by "yaril", who kuz had handed the site over to. His adminstration was met with mixed opinions and criticisms, and many users of the site disagreed with some of his rule changes (such as the outright banning of the topic of Virtual YouTubers from the site).

On October 18th, another newspost was made. This one was made by a developer called man_of_steel, and it detailed the upcoming changes on the site, such as banning all lurking Russian IPs and restoring Heyuri's old features. This provided some optimism to the site, however other things were in store for it.

Behind the scenes, kuz and lolico were making amends, and it was discovered that Kuz had a backup of Heyuri from roughly a month prior to Heyuri's death, right after a previous spam attack. This, along with kuz and lolico making up, led to Heyuri's revival, which would happen in early December 2020.

As for Strawberryheaven? The site eventually became an archive of itself, but at some point it was taken down and the domain has since left Kuz's ownership.

== Promotion ==
In an effort to bring over more of Heyuri's former userbase and to encourage new users to come to StrawberryHeaven, advertisements were made and posted on multiple imageboards across the web. These were met with mixed results: some Heyuri users found their way back to Heyuri through these advertisements, others dismissed it as another "kuz site" and forgot about it, and it also brought in some of the "wrong crowd". These advertisements made the site gain slightly more traction, as the post rate was a little better than Heyuri's post-lolico fallout, but this fizzled out not too long after the site's closure.

== Community ==
StrawberryHeaven's community consisted of a small group of former-Heyuri users who had managed to find their way there, a handful of new users who had never heard of Heyuri, and some weirdos from 4chan and other imageboards. [[Original content]] was made, although not to the extent that was experienced on Heyuri. Threads like the Yuno draw thread gained some traction, which injected an ever-so-slight amount of Heyuri magic into the site.

By and large, however, StrawberryHeaven was not received well by the community. Complaints were made about the board software; it was very buggy and broken, and contained little-to-no features Heyuri had. It didn't even run on the same software as Heyuri (lolico's proprietary fork of FutabaWall), and instead ran on kuz's fork of Kareha named "ktaba". Another consistent complaint was the post activity: due to the death of Heyuri, many of the userbase never discovered SH and left under the belief that Heyuri was gone forever, or they did find SH but disregarded it due to how much it differed from Heyuri. Many SH users wanted Heyuri back, as they believed SH lacked the special something that Heyuri had. The general dislike only worsened when yaril took adminstration of the site, as users disliked how he handled things; many even wanted kuz back.

This was also a big factor that led to kuz and lolico talking it out, as many of the users had come to find out that it was [[Akima|a certain skiddie]]'s fault that Heyuri had died, and that the two former Heyuri admins should talk out their differences so that Heyuri could return with the both of them at the helm.

There were some positive things about StrawberryHeaven: OC was made, though not much, and it didn't make much of an impact around the site. This may have been because the site was dead, or because the userbase had fundamentally changed. The /r/ board also saw some activity, but that was mostly the result of the one user who requested the board spamming it.

== Final Thoughts ==
StrawberryHeaven was a buggy and broken mess, and served as little more than a temporary bunker for Heyuri users. Although it is regarded by some as a "dark age" in Heyuri's history, it demonstrated just how much the concept of Heyuri was loved (at least in our little corner of the internet), and that it would take much more than the destruction of a server in order to kill that idea. This is also arguably what caused Heyuri to return, as it would've been permanently dead had people not struggled for it back.

== Kolyma-ization ==
'''Kolyma-ization''' was the heavy integration of Heyuri (and later, other websites) into the [[KolymaNET|Kolyma Network]] and associated services, spearheaded by [[Kuz]]. Heyuri was no longer a standalone website, but instead one small branch of a larger KolymaNET system, with many unnecessary mentions of Kolyma ham-fistedly featured across the various elements of the site. This was strongly resented by many users, and caused many complaints and arguments. This contributed to a marked decline of Heyuri's already-dwindling activity and userbase, and a decline in kuz's popularity amongst Heyuri's remaining users.

Kolyma-ization first occurred in September 2020 with the creation of [[KolymaBBS]] and [[StrawberryHeaven]], and was turned up to 11 with the launch of the [[Kokonotsuba]] imageboard software (replacing Heyuri's former software) in March 2021. Without Heyuri users' prior knowledge (they were under the impression Heyuri was simply moving to a new and improved software), Kokonotsuba was deeply hooked into Kuz's and KolymaNET's ecosystem in ways that were later stated by Kuz to be near-impossible to remove.

== De-Kolyma-ization begins ==
In July 2020, after much user backlash and continued dwindling activity on Heyuri (as of April 2024, the first half of 2021 was Heyuri's all-time low in terms of user population and activity), Kuz eventually promised to undo many of the Kolyma-related changes. Some aspects were removed immediately, but many others wouldn't be undone until years later; this was in part due to how deeply Kokonotsuba had been integrated into Kolyma, but also in part due to Kuz's stubbornness.

When [[Kaguya]]'s leadership began in late April 2022, additional Kolyma components that remained active on Heyuri were swiftly removed; Kuz called some of these removals "too far", "witch hunting" and "stupid, pointless revisionism" which "if left unchecked would snowball into worse things for the site". Kuz would turn out to be proven wrong; Heyuri went on to become more active and prosperous than it had ever been during the "Kolyma era", even surpassing the "[[Golden age of Heyuri|golden age]]". == Is this secure? ==
It's as secure as your tripcode password is. Technically [[Kaguya|the administrator]] is able to read your messages, but it's impossible to prove he won't read them. If this bothers you, you can always use some kind of encryption for your messages.

== How do I know if my tripcode is secure? ==
Tripcodes are technically safe enough as they can't be reverse engineered, there are only [https://nobodyzxc.github.io/tripcode/ some services] one could use to try to bruteforce passwords, which would take forever to crack a tripcode with an ordinary computer. However, tripcodes have been used for over 2 decades on the internet and there are major databases of tried passwords instead one could search. [https://2ch-trip.xyz/ Here is the biggest tripcode database] on the internet I'm aware of, use it to make sure your password isn't listed there. 
Tip 1: Only the first 8 letters of a password matter, the rest aren't taken into account for encryption. 
Tip 2: It is recommended to avoid using words from the dictionary for passwords, as they can be easily brute-forced.
